ECTFE-Films

ECTFE Ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene films
Ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene is a semi-crystalline, whitish, semi-transparent thermoplastic which is processed in the melt. It is a film which consists of ethylene-chlorofluoroethylene copolymer. ECTFE is characterised by its excellent resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, fats, oils, alkalis and acids. However, the material is not resistant to halogens. In addition, ECTFE offers good UV resistance and a low water absorption of <0.02% in 24 hours.

Application of ECTFE films

Due to its properties, ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene is used, among other things, in the semiconductor industry for wet tooling and pipe systems, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry when chemicals are used.
