9200 is a two-component structural adhesive specifically designed to produce permanently stable bonds. It adheres strongly to metals as well as a variety of difficult-to-bond materials such as glass, ceramics, wood, engineering thermoplastics and thermoset laminates such as SMC (sheet molding compound) and GRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic). It distributes stresses evenly over the entire bonding surface and is particularly suitable for bonding dissimilar materials subjected to alternating thermal loads.
This structural epoxy adhesive forms a strong, vibration-resistant bond, making it an ideal adhesive for body panels. It is the best adhesive for aluminum and can be used as a structural adhesive for automotive applications or as an automotive sheet adhesive.
9200 has excellent electrical insulation against electrostatic discharge, thermal shock, galvanic corrosion, ambient moisture, salt water, fungi and many aggressive chemicals. It is smooth, soft and thixotropic, ideal for vertical surfaces and for filling gaps.
It is also suitable for potting electronic equipment in gaps through which non-thixotropic potting compounds flow. 9200 is viscous but liquid enough to be dispensed with a syringe. The 50-ml size can be used with a mixing head when applied with a cartridge gun or pressure system.
Flame retardant versions use 9200FR. Use 9310 for 1-component adhesive. We also offer electrically and thermally conductive adhesives.
